Menards is a good place to shop with excellent return policy. But never buy multiple of any one thing, they have to scan every piece even if you have 50 or 100 of 1 thing they can't count and put it in the computer they have to scan each one. Takes forever!!!!
if you know exactly what you want and need and know the reliability of the product it may be worth your time - otherwise i find it totally draconian and oppressive. the rebates are a total rip off - the help pretty much worthless. if someone there knows something there is a pecking order based on oppression.
In the market for a snow thrower and menards has them on the top shelf so you can't look them over
Generally good selection, can be difficult to get help. Forewarning, the rebates are a pain, come in the form of vouchers, and you don't actually get cash back, they won't cash them out, even if you're down to less than a dollar. Gotta save that stupid slip forever as you continue to whittle it down.
Mostly good selection and pricing. Extensive lumber yard. I've never been a big fan of the store layout. It's a bit like a casino- if you don't pay attention you may lose site of the exit and wonder if you'll ever find your way out, let alone find what you need.
